The 2nd World Internet Conference will be held in Wuzhen from December 16 to 18. Ninety Five students from our university were selected to be volunteers for the conference. On December 12, the school will hold an oath-taking ceremony where the volunteers will solemnly take their oath before leaving for the conference on behalf of Yuexiu fellows. 

It’s said that the volunteer selection for the 2nd World Internet Conference started this May. Of the over 6,700 applcants, most are college students. After two rounds of interview, over 1,000 volunteers were eventually chosen, almost double the number of last year which was 569. The number of foreign participants of the conference this time is far greater than that of last year. Therefore, among the volunteers, 259 are “one-on-one” VIP volunteers.
