The translation project Examination Culture in Imperial China directed by Professor Yu Weihua from College of English has been approved and sponsored by the National Social Science Fund of China with the Project No. 16WJK006, according to the announcement made by the National Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Science.

This is the second translation project directed by teachers from the university approved by National Social Science Fund of China after the first approval received in 2015.

So far, altogether three projects directed by teachers of Yuexiu have been approved as the Social Science Study Projects funded by Ministry of Education which is more than that of most private universities in China.
