Topic: The lecture elaborates on the understanding and daily practice of Confucianism, self-improvement, morality cultivation, enterprise management and some social affairs. Besides, in order to make Confucianism an organized unit, according to “Si Shu Dao Guan”,a book written by Chen Lifu,the speaker divides “The Great Learning”,“The Doctrine of the Mean”, “The Analects of Confucius” and “Mencius” into eight parts including,studying the nature of things in order to acquire knowledge, sincerity, uprightness, cultivate moral character, regulate the family, run the state and make world peaceful.
The brief introduction of speaker: Chen Shaocheng,whose grandfather was Chen Lifu, a politician of Kuomingtang,and Lin Yi,a master of Sinology, is director and deputy chief executive officer of Li Fu Medical Research Foundation. He graduated from Department of Industrial Engineering, Purdue University and was master of Business Administration, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
