From October 13 to 15, the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP) celebrated its 60th anniversary and held its global forum on“Higher Education Reimagined: Innovation, Inclusion, and Global Collaboration in the AI Era” in Seoul, South Korea. The event convened over 160 presidents and higher education scholars from more than 70 universities worldwide to discuss the evolution and transformation of higher education for a new era. President Yong Heming attended as a distinguished participant at this invitation-only gathering.
At the forum, President Yong Heming delivered a keynote speech titled “The Transformation of Higher Education Models in the AI Era and the Practices of Zhejiang Yuexiu University”. He shared his perspectives on reshaping the university mission, innovating teaching and learning models, transforming university organizational structures, and reforming evaluation and credentialing systems. President Yong also presented the implementation outcomes achieved by Zhejiang Yuexiu University (ZYU) in these areas. His address generated significant discussion and garnered high acclaim from the attending university presidents, scholars, and experts.

The Association holds special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) — the highest category — and maintains formal consultative relations with UNESCO.
