On October 29, Prinat Apirat, Consul General of Thailand in Shanghai, visited Zhejiang Yuexiu University, accompanied by Ding Qijie, a member of the Party Leadership Group of the Shaoxing Foreign Affairs Office. President Yong Heming met with the delegation.

President Yong Heming extended a warm welcome to the Consul General and her delegation. He provided an overview of the university’s history, its global engagement progress, key achievements, and the current status of faculty/student exchanges, research collaboration, and cultural communication with Thai educational institutions.

During the visit, Prinat Apirat and her delegation visited the university’s Thai Language Salon, received a detailed introduction to the Thai Language Program from the relevant leaders of School of Asian Studies, enjoyed thoughtfully curated Thai cultural performances by students, and held friendly discussions with faculty and students in the program.
