The 2nd World Internet Conference which drew the world’s attention was grandly opened in the morning of 16th. The entire world was “seething” since the “internet+” meeting was held in the ancient town with a history of a thousand years. WU Yifan, a student volunteer of Yuexie, served as an on-site interpreter for Russian Prime Minister Medvedev. It’s widely spread through new media on the internet and took the whole campus by storm. Recalling the event, WU Yifan and XU Fangfang, two Russian majors of Yuexiu, still feel extremely excited. “It’s like a dream! I thought I shall meet a lot of foreign guests and internet masters but I didn’t see this coming, having a face-to-face communication with Prime Minister Medvedev and introducing Chinese scented tea to him.” said WU Yifan. In the evening of 15th, Prime Minister Medvedev and his entourage had a tour in Wuzhen. When Prime Minister passed by a tea shop, WU greeted him in Russian, “Hello, welcome to China.” However, what happened next surprised WU, “The Prime Minister answered me back, ‘Thank You’ and praised that we spoke Russian well. Then we invited him to visit the shop and introduced some scented teas to him in Russian. The Prime Minister said he likes Chinese tea very much and will bring some back to Russia.”
