The 2017 New Year Celebration & Outstanding Students Award Ceremony was held on the night of December 28.The event was covered by live webcast on the Internet.
The celebration started with a New Year clip show by College Students Media Center. The dances “Golden Rooster” presented a wonderful opening and “Red Lantern” performed by School Dance Troupe brought  to the audience a festival holiday atmosphere. “Drunk in love” by School Singing Group was vigorous and stage play “Be adept with both the pen and the sword” by School Drill Master Team was stirring.
Students from College of Chinese Language and Culture performed a poetry recitation “Fall asleep with your name” with beautiful background music. Luck draw and lucky money moved the New Year Celebration to an exciting climax. In the end, “ Wishes in new year” by School Chorus showed the wishes of Yuexiu and inspired our new year resolution.
At the New Year Celebration, Yuezhou Outstanding Schoolfellows during school year 2015-2016 were honored. Meanwhile, ZYUFL awarded freshmen scholarship and national scholarship winners.
During the 2-hour celebration, students showed their vigorous presence and their wishes for the coming New Year.
