On the night of December 22, the Joint Celebration, sponsored by Shaoxing Municipal Human Resource and Social Security Bureau in recognition of the foreign experts and students working and studying in Shaoxing, was held in Zhejiang Yuexiu University of Foreign Languages. Over 200 international experts and students from the United States, Britain, Canada, Spain, South Korea, Japan and other countries  gathered together in Yuexiu to welcome the new year. 

In the celebration, Yuexiu’s 18 international teachers were honored with the prize of “2016 SPT Outstanding International Teacher”, 16 international students with “Yuexiu Scholarship of 2016 for Outstanding International Students” and 11 others with “Zhejiang Provincial Scholarship of 2016 for Outstanding International Students”.

In his new year address, Xu Zhenhua, President of ZYUFL, shared with the international experts and students present the achievements on the development of foreign teaching staff, international student education and internationalization of Yuexiu which has ranked first among all undergraduate universities of non-graduate education in Zhejiang Province in terms of internationalization for 3 consecutive years. He attributed it to the insightful university-running concept of Yuexiu as well as the co-efforts of all Yuexiu staff.

After that, the performances such as Yue Opera, Saxophone playing, and Taiqi show, etc. brought the people present to high spirits.
