On April 20, Professor Martin of University of Alcala, Spain, Asia Area Director, visited our university. ZHU Wenbing, Vice President, and administrators from the Office of International Affairs and School of Western Languages jointly met the Spanish guest.

At the meeting, the guest and administrators discussed some realistic ways to further the relationship between University of Alcala and Yuexiu in a variety of areas. Specifically, both parties agreed upon establishing a collaborative platform in the near future: the Joint Scientific Research Center of Zhejiang Yuexiu Foreign Languages/University of Alcala. The proposed purpose of such a platform was to promote exchanges between faculty and students of both institutions and conduct joint research projects of mutual interests. In addition, possibilities and plans of further exchange programs and activities between the two institutions through a variety of pathways and methods were discussed.
